Quick Apply Full-time Part-time 13 hours ago Full Job Description Medical Billing/Payroll Manager Military Only (Tricare Exclusive) Mental Health Clinic Our Medical Billing/Payroll Manager is responsible for the timely submission of medical claims to Tricare health insurance and the management of the financial cycle for our healthcare providers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, payroll and office management.
This person will support Bahia Health's overall operations and patient services by efficiently and effectively driving the accounts receivable and payroll process.
Essential Functions:
Obtain referrals and pre-authorizations as required for outpatient psychiatry, psychology and intensive outpatient services for Tricare insurance Check eligibility and benefit verification; Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness and obtain missing information; Effectively communicate with insurance, patients, clinicians and other staff to provide accurate, timely, and responsive information.
Prepare, review and transmit claims using our billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing; Knowledge of insurance guidelines for Tricare insurance Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame; Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contracted rates; Identify and bill secondary insurances; Entering (conciliate) all insurance EOBs data into our billing system; Collect patients payment as needed and discuss payment arrangement options; Research and appeal denied claims; Answer all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts.
Provide support to front office staff as needed Manage payroll and explanation of reimbursement for Bahia providers Qualifications, Education &
Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to multitask, be adaptable and able to communicate well.
Demonstrate courtesy and helpfulness towards patients, staff and providers; Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Maintain strict patient and provider confidentiality in compliance with all federal, state, and hospital laws and guidelines for release of information.
Understanding of HIPPA compliance.
Must be able to demonstrate proficiency of computer applications (Office 365, Excel and Word) , mathematical skills and ability to handle monies (cash and credit/ATM cards).
High School Diploma, college degree or completion of vocational (accredited medical billing course).
At least 2 years of experience in medical billing and customer service.
Knowledge and understanding of medical EOB's, patient deductibles and co-pays, and insurance or third party correspondence, contractual payments and adjustments.
Extensive experience with Tricare is a plus! Salary:
$25.
