Salary: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
Benefits: All eligible full time employees will receive Paid Annual Leave (PAL) starting at 23 days per year and raising by one day per year following one full calendar year of employment (January through December). They will also be offered health benefits and will be automatically enrolled in employer paid short and long term disability and life insurance.
All full time and part time employees have access to participate in the Delphinus Engineering 401(k) which includes company match of 25% up to 10% deferred.
General
Summary: Delphinus Engineering, Inc. is looking for a Mechanic I to function for a variety of government Ship Repair projects and alterations. Work is performed onboard US Naval ships and military installations in an area that is somewhat uncomfortable due to drafts, noise, and temperature. Work is performed with equipment where carelessness could result in injury and/or death.

Principal Duties/
Responsibilities:
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
Assists with the fabrication and assembly of various electromechanical and electronic assemblies.
Performs duties as a fire watch and welder's helper as well as assembling large scale and intricate mechanical assemblies.
Receives technical guidance from supervisor or higher-level technician and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
Must pass background check and access all work locations, including government and private shipyards and/or vessels; must be able to obtain and retain Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) card.
Must be US Citizen.
Minimum 0-2 years' relevant experience on U.S. Navy ships.
Able to obtain a Security clearance.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within mechanical engineering field.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
